Facts About The San Manuel Amphitheater

The San Manuel Amphitheater has undergone various name changes since its creation. It was formerly known as the Blockbuster Pavilion, the Glen Helen Pavilion and the Hyundai Pavilion. What has not changed over the years, however, is its ability to provide individuals, couples, music fans, families and friends, with memorable concert experiences, fun festivals, and world-class music.

The structure was created way back in the year 1982. The Unuson Corporation, together with Steve Wozniak, reformed the landsite entirely, bulldozing and constructing the building so that the new open-air field venue could serve as the place for the US Festival of 1982. It is located in the area where the 15 and 215 freeways intersect in Devore, San Bernardino City, California, right in the heart of Glen Regional Park. This enormous venue can hold over 65,000 people and is considered as one of the largest amphitheaters in North America

The venue's beautiful natural scenic setting lay-out, state of the art equipment and sound system, and accommodation capacity makes it the ideal place to host concerts and festivals. It served as the host of the annual hard rock and metal Ozzfest tour except in 1998, 2008 and 2009. Today, it hosts the yearly Mayhem Festival. The likes of Linkin Park, Aerosmith, Rage Against the Machine, Oasis, Cher, ZZ Top and several other great music acts have graced the stage on the San Manuel Amphitheater.

Concert season usually starts in April and generally ends in October in time for the winter season. Its operating hours vary depending on the performance.
