The History Of The Smith Center

The Smith Center | Box Office Ticket Sales

The Smith Center is a performing arts center in Las Vegas, Nevada, that was founded with the idea that Vegas should be able to take part in the international arts scene. The founders wanted to compete with the established centers in places like San Francisco and New York City. Performing arts of all types were considered, including singing, dancing, musical performances, and much more. The center's goal ever since has been to attract the very best in each of these arenas.

The Smith Center has also acted as a hub for culture in the community. The large crowd that it draws is composed of people from the local neighborhoods and from the rest of the country and the world, but the local emphasis is very clear and strong. History has shown that the arts can make a community close and vibrant, and the center has provided these qualities. It only opened in 2012, but it has already been appreciated as a public building because it gives those who admire the arts a way to see the most talented acts without having to leave Las Vegas.

With acts like Doc Severinsen & The San Miguel Five and Bryan Adams on the schedule, the future of the Smith Center looks to be very bright indeed. It is a state-of-the-art facility, which enables it to attract high-class talent even though it does not have the years' of established history of other centers. It promises to be a culture landmark for decades to come.
