Information About Merriweather Post Pavilion



Do you like to going to music concerts?  If so and if you live in on the east coast, one of the most popular venues to go to for a great concert is the MerriweatherPost Pavilion

The Merriweather Post Pavilion was designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 1967.  It is considered one of the most celebrated amphitheaters on the east coast.  It was voted as one of the best venues in the United States by Billboard magazine in 2010 and considered to be one of the best venues of all time because of its rich music legend history.


Musical legends that once graced the stage of this amphitheater with their presence include:  Led Zepplin, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.  If you are thinking about visiting the Merriweather Post for a concert you will never have to worry about being the only person there either; this place is always packed with  tons of music fans that want to hear good music and enjoy a great time. The maximum capacity of this venue is over 19,000 people.  This venue is located in Columbia, Maryland at 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway.
